In this work we were asked to determine the ideal paths between the faculty buildings of the Campus of the ETH Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. The architects ( KCAP – Kees Cristiaanse and Partners) had the task to introduce new locations such as coffee bars, music shops in the crossings of main paths. The intention was to improve the current pathways and to enhance the synergy between students, staffs and visitors from different faculties. The strategy adopted was to create a simulation in which all the current paths were removed and pedestrians walked freely.
